In 2016, NAMASCUSA was the parent club that decided to move towards AKC recognition. After years of hard work and dedication by many breeders, a name was voted upon for our new breed into AKC. The Mini Australian Shepherd, or "Mini Aussie" as they are called is now known as AKC's Miniature American Shepherd. Many people view these as two separate breeds, however genetically, they all had the same start.
Friendship Farms takes pride in genetics we have bred within the past 20+ years. We began with only a few Mini Aussies and decided to move forward by adding Pembroke Corgis to the mix. It was wonderful for our family to have our own children grow up with such great companions on a small farm.
It is our top priority to offer AKC registered Mini American Shepherds and Pembroke Corgis. All of our Shepherds come to you with testing in PRA, HC and MDR1. All of our Corgis come to you with testing in DM, EIC, and VWD. Since the testing began, we have begun to eliminate these problems from our breeding stock. We are diligently working toward utilizing the highest technology to eliminate all sources of those listed above. For information on a specific individual, please give us a call.

Keep in mind when you are looking for a new puppy that a breeder has already spent countless hours with your puppy. We do this because we love them And it is our passion. Our time does have value just like yours does. If we can’t be with our 4 legged friends 24-7 we have to hire someone to do so for us. We have vet expenses, feed costs, vaccines, registration and labor costs. When you put a deposit on a puppy it is non-refundable but transferable. If you change your mind that does not erase all of the pictures we have sent you, bathes we have given and countless hours of work we have put in for your puppy experience.
